Yesterday, we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day to highlight its cultural importance and share Irish traditions with our students from preschool through second grade.

The teachers explained to the children beforehand what is celebrated in Ireland on this day. They prepared some masks and came wearing something green.

Mr. Alex Torres, our first-grade teacher, danced the Step Dance and shared the legend of the leprechaun, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm for Irish folklore: “The leprechaun always carries a hidden pot of gold, and the sound of its coins is a sign of its presence. The clinking of the coins represents its magic… You can hear the sound before you see it.”

Ayer celebramos el Día de San Patricio para destacar su importancia cultural y compartir algunas tradiciones irlandesas con nuestros alumnos de prekínder  a 2° básico.

Las educadoras y profesores explicaron a los niños con anticipación qué se celebra en Irlanda en este día, prepararon algunas máscaras y vinieron con alguna prenda de ropa verde.

Mr. Alex Torres, profesor del 1° A, bailó el Step Dance y compartió la leyenda del duende, despertando la curiosidad y el entusiasmo por el folclore irlandés: “El duende siempre lleva una olla de oro escondida, y el sonido de sus monedas es señal de su presencia. El sonido de las monedas representa su magia y sus travesuras… y se pueden escuchar antes de ver al duende”.
